I was thinking about Mounting a rack to my roof on my 2008 JK 4 Door has any one done this. The Baja looks like a nice rack and with a little cutting and tigging and re painting the Maga Mule Rack just may work. Any one have the rack and is it strong.

I just think what with the right mods the rack would work fine on top of the JK. It may cost a bit to do it but the racks with the poles going down on the sides just dont look good to me.

 

Keep in mind that the Freedom top is NOT rated for carrying anything. That's why we see so many racks mounted to the body and/or frame.

 

I have a Megamule installed in my LandCruiser and it's very strong, I heard that there is a new show on TV starting next month called JEEPEDITIONS www.jeepeditions.com and they have two JK with bajaracks.
I bough mine at www.racksforall.com (best price) and i have the Hi_lift mount and light brackets. Get the ones that ship in two halfs you will save $$$ in shipping.

 

I have a Garvin Track rack mounted to my freedom top. Fits great. The roof is plenty strong enough. I've had over 400lbs up there.
