Default balance beads?

I know that this topic has been best to death, but I have an interesting question.

the other day I broke open a tie at my shop to repair a flat and it had some debris in it, trash/ paper from whoever assembled it, the debris actually ate into the liner of the tire making me tell the customer that I wouldn't put it back on the wheel. it had actually eaten through some of the belting all the way around on the tread side internally.

can someone get a couple pictures of a set of tires using balance beads after some extended use? I'm torn on what would be found, being round would prevent such trauma, but being heavier than the debris I found my exaggerate the damage. keep in mind this was an suv tire with ~7500 miles on it with this stuff in there.

thanks for any help, I just want to know before I track the beads down for me and a customer that wants to put 40s on his blazer.

I ran dynabeads for around 6000 miles before going back to sticky weights. Beads didn't work well for me. But there were no signs of any wear in the tires when I removed them. Couldnt ever tell I ran with them. No pics, sorry.

I can't tell you what the inside of mine look like but I'm closing in on 30,000 miles and haven't developed any issues.

Next time I bust my beadlocks open on rotation I will take a closer look I haven't seen any signs of wear. I've been running them for almost 20, 000

Kinda what I figured guys. I just wanted to be sure before I put some in this guy's $650/tire setup.

I've run larger tires (37's or larger) for the past 12 years (JKU and TJs). I've nevered had trouble using traditional weights with my wheels, including running beadlocks.

I never thought that the beads could cause any problems to the wheel or tire.
