Balancing - Does Wheels Sizes Matter?
Don't know if this has been touched upon, but searches come up short. I currently am running 15s but I just picked up some 17 rubies that I can run also and I'm looking to put on 35s. My question is if 35s on 15s easier to balance then 35s on 17s?
Reason for asking is when balancing wheels & tires the difficult part I hear are tire irregularities (wear, compound, imperfections etc...), and that wheels (as long as their not bent) tend to be less of an issue then the tire.
1. That being said is there more benefit to running a bigger wheel?
2. Would this reduce the amount of tire you have to deal with? maybe this is why tires cost more on bigger wheels even though there's less actual tire
3. Would this benefit when rotating and balancing a tire through its life?
Anyone with experience or am I just theory-crafting here? Maybe an actual installer can chime in.
