we've run them with rcv's and it's tight and may even make a little bit of contact with the boot but, it will work.

Yea I am leaning towards just finding a shop that can isntall the gussets w/o destroying my current ball joints for now

it may annoy them but, just take some time to express your concerns and inform them that unlike most ball joints, these have plastic components that WILL get ruined by the heat of welding. let them know it's a common problem and, with this knowledge in hand, they should know how to address it.

I have actually purchased the backbone but have not had time to get my c gussets or backbone installed.
I have the complete Purejeep gusset and backbone setup. I had installed at Purejeep .$400 for kit and welding. They did a great job.
