That's funny cause I just wrote them to ask about it and they said there is no talk of one coming out as of right now. I went to jeep horizons and they have a picture of one that they took from the SEMA show.

Well guess time will tell, but most importantly that setup in the pic is NOT a "ram air" system. There are some good websites online with technical discussion to what constitutes "true" ram air and this is definitely just another CAI.

That's correct "Ram Air" forces the air into the intake. So a scoop of some sort is needed. Otherwise its just cold air.

Maybe it has some odd snorkel to replicate a ram-air. The Silverado has a tube that goes under the front bumper and acts as a ram-air.

The thing is, with this type fuel injection, you ain't gonna force one iota more air into the engine. .......unless its with a blower.

I see they are now advertising it for the JK, so it must now be available. The original post for this thread is well about a year and a half old.

I received this email reply on March 9, 2009 and saw an advertisement for it in the May 2009 JP Magazine:

John-

Thanks for your inquiry on the Ram Air box for your Jeep. Testing is complete, we are only waiting for the air box to be manufactured, which should be in the next 6-8 weeks.

Please let me know if you wish to pre-order the box and I will hold one for you for with a 10% deposit.

Best regards,
