bb lift or aussie front
im stuck i cant decide what would be the smartest and most helpful on the trails, I have enough money for either a teraflex 2.5 bb or an aussie for the dana 30. therefore i need input from others experiences
i have a rear lsd and the rig is brand new so i was thinking of a front auto locker and when i get the cash i want to do a rear selectable.
I went with the Aussie in front first, and it was the BIGGEST improvement I made for out on the trail.
Since I rarely ran into an issue where I didn't have the clearance, but I WAS having issues getting through snow and loose sandy areas, the locker helped the most.
And my X had open diffs front and rear.
And i went with the front locker first because of two reasons:
1) it's a daily driver in snowy/icy conditions, and a rear locker would have been harder to handle in those conditions
2) Aussie asked me if they could use my JK as a guinea pig, so I got the locker

I am in the process of purchasing an Aussie locker for my front D30. I have the LSD in the rear. You will love having the Aussie if only for the advantages of having a locked axle. The LSD works great out back, so this is the perfect mod for me as I save for the next phase of my build.
If you had totally open diffs I would say lock the rear first, but with the LSD in the rear, you'll love the added traction of the locker out front. That being said, the lift might be a nice option for you. The only reason I would say against getting the lift is that you should save a bit more for the lift to do springs and shocks. I have never been a huge fan of budget boost lifts, but if thats all you want, thats all you need. Your choice, by my $.02 is to get the locker unless you just hold the cash and save to get a better lift.

I've got the same setup, Here is my thinking
It depends to a great extent on the terrain you will be wheeling in. I've had mine out once, in the mudhills for the TDS desert safari. The LSD worked great with the Rubicon take off tires and rims. But I could use a bit more clearance underneath. I'm going to run it as is until the tires wear out, then it will be a 3 inch suspension lift and 33 inch tires.
Personally I'm not going to put money into the D30. I'll be on the look out for a Rubicon D44, and that will be the locker I use. Over the long haul I expect to end up with 35 or 37 inch tires, and I don't believe the D30 will hold up to the trails I'll be running at that point. Until then the LSD is working good, I'll replace it with a selectable locker and larger rear axles when the time comes.
So think about where you want the rig to be in 5 years, and think about the stages it should go through to get there. Try to do things once.

thanks for the input i think im leaning toward the aussie and getting a full suspension lift instead of a bb in a month or so since i put on the rr xhd and winch which is showing some sag
