Default BB and Suspension lift

Ive got an 11 rubicon and want to add a lift. Does anyone have advice whether to go with a BB or a suspension lift for a 2.5 lift? Also, in the future I would like to get my jeep up 5/6" add some 37's etc. Can I do a 2.5 BB and a 2.5 suspension lift?

Go with the suspension lift. The ride quality will be far superior than the BB on stock suspension. You can also add a BB to the suspension.
If you plan on going to 37's, I would just go with a 4" lift which will net you a little over 5" anyways and add a 1" body lift or spacers for the extra weight from bumpers/winch.

You don't need a 6" lift to run 37's. But if you are feeling inadequate and need a huge lift, be prepared for the big price tag that goes along with doing it right. The Suspension FAQ's have some info on the components you will want.

As far as how you get there: Yes, you can add a BB on top of a coil lift. But as noted above, you will want all of the same components for a 3" coil/ 3" spacer lift as for a 6" coil lift.

Which one you start with is completely up to you.

Thanks for the advice. if i do go with both, say a 4" suspension, would you recommend the front spacers to be a little bigger than the rear to compensate for bumper/winch or would it be ok for them to be the same size?
