Default BB vs. Leveling kit

I am currently looking into both a BB or Leveling kit for my jeep and wondering whats the difference and what is better? Could you also post some pics of your jeep with a BB or Leveling.
Thanks Trevor.

I would say that a leveling kit is great for stock wheels and a slightly larger tire. BB kits (2.5") for up to 35's but you will still have some rake.

I struggled with this as well. I like the lifted look, and if I was going to spend the money on the BB, it was just a bit more to do a coil lift. I went ahead and ordered the 2.5 coil kit w/ shocks. I am putting on 33" duratracs today, and the coil kit on Monday.

As far as 35s, in my opinion you DEFINATELY need at least the BB. The 35s will not fit with just the leveling kit. At least that is not how it was intended unless you install flat fenders and possibly some other modifications.

If you order the coil kit w/ just extensions, it is really not much more than the BB. Well worth it and it will level your jeep. Call Dave at Northridge, he is running deals right now on Teraflex stuff.

For example:
TeraFlex JK Wrangler 2.5" Performance Budget Boost w/Shock Adaptors (1355210) Price: $348.95
TeraFlex JK 4-DR 2.5" Lift Kit, W/ Shock Adapters (1352000) Price: $497.95

And with the deals Dave is running, it might be even less.

Coondog, your jeep looks great. Nice work.

j33p_freak, Something else worth mentioning at this point, if you want 33s, and do the Leveling kit, if you add a heavy bumper/winch it will negate the 1.5" of lift you get and will re-introduce the rake if you do not get the coil version. If you are not planning on adding bumpers, etc, then you can see by Coondog's jeep that it will look great with some 33s.

TeraFlex BB kits raise the front 2.5" and 2" rear. 2.5" coils kits raise the front 3.1" and 2.1" rear, this helps to bring the nose up.

Thanks Hawnted...Hawnted brings up a great point on winch and bumper sag...if you get a coil lift you can add spacers to eliminate the sag...I have RR stubby..with hoop...not heavy at all...no sag...my rear bumper is a tube rock crawler and is very light...just something to think about if ur gonna get a winch and heavy tire carrier..

I just have the leveling kit with 35's. Back tire rubbs a bit at full flex. Flat fenders help a lot. Even the dealer thought I had a 4" lift.
