Default BDS Suspension

Buddy of mine had one on his 87 and swore by their lift kits. No fine print warranty, if a part breaks they replace it for free.... anyone have opinions or details for their kits?

I have the 3" BDS (installed in September of 2009). Great suspension for on road -- feels better than stock. Does really well off road too. I don't have anything to compare it to off road, but I drive it like a rally car and it does just fine. Get the adjustable lower control arms and try to resist the installation of the cam bolts if possible.

Many people have said that the 3" really gave them 4". I didn't take before/after measurements, but I think I got about 3.5" out of it and then it settled to just over 3". It sits just a tad lower in the rear than the front, but I'm going to get spacers once all my bumpers, etc., are installed.

I run 35s and have not had any issues with rub on the control arms, etc., but I *am* having issues with hitting the rear pinch seam and rubbing the wheel wells/fenders at full flex. Cutting/folding the pinch seams should and chopping the fenders should take care of this (we'll see).

If you're looking for a good balance of on and off road performance, it's a good option. For the price, you can add some additional parts and have a comparable suspension to the OME and AEV ... but for a few hundred US $ less.

Good luck with you decision.

rings have settled the rear is at 3 inches of lift and the front is more like 2. I have contacted them about this front end sag, and their "no questions asked" warranty. They (BDS costumer support) blame the after market bumbper on the front and suggested i buy their 4 inch springs to compensate!!! HA!!! Tera flex and skyjaker dont sag with aftermarket bumbpers AND winches, why OH WHY would i buy your 4 inch springs to compensate for you S#@%TY 3 inchers??? Front Disconnects didnt work either...threw them out as soon as JKS quicker disco hit the market. God bless JKS!! Hell last time i went wheeling with my 35's i popped a front fender off with the right side tire flex!!! So the lift doesnt even clear 35's like they claim. Although i have no problems in the rear with the pinch seem, i could probably clear 36, maybe 37 before the seem is a problem ( with Mopar offroad bumper )
