Default BDS suspension????

Anybody got any input on BDS ????? Good, bad, junk etc... My local Jeep dealer installs their kits on some of the new JK's around here and sells them on the showroom floor. Just haven't heard anything about them????

I've had mine for a few months now and its all good. I've survived raush creek, a few road trips up i95 and my short commute to work everyday.

I know several local guys with 3" BDS lifts and have never had an issue. I'm getting my 3" BDS lift this spring... can't wait.

Sounds good, I just wasn't sure if I really needed to buy a kit with lower control arms and trackbars etc.... This is mainly a street jeep but will see some off-road trails. There is not a lot of places around me to really need a full on flex kit. thanks for the input guys

I have the BDS 3". I have had two sway links break. Jeep has never been off road(8K) miles. Getting ready to replace the links with another brand. I have been less than impressed.

Why 3" lift on a road warrior? Moderate off roading doesn't seem to need 3" lift and what about other impacts from going that high?

If justification is "looks" that is cool too. But for looks you can go with less it seems and it still looks the same.

Not judging just saying.

Yeah, I like em to sit high but still ride nice. I really like the way these jeeps look with a lift and some 35's on them, I'm still gonna take it on some trails but I'm not looking to beat the hell out of this thing either.

For the guys that installed this kit did you use the cam bolts?

I have the 3" BDS lift with 1.5 years and 25K miles on it. So far, it's been great. The ride is actually improved over stock. It's hard to beat for the price; make sure you get the adjustable track bar and lower control arms ... do NOT let them use the adjustable cam bolts for your caster. The cam bolts require permanent modification to the brackets, and you'll be pissed off later if you decide to replace your suspension or if/when the bolts wallow out. Have them adjust out the control arms instead of using the bolts.

As for my usage ... let's just say I've abused the heck out of it. I actually blew out two of my Bilstein HD shocks and have TWICE ripped out the rear bump stops. Nothing to do with the suspension, in fact it's surprising that the suspension has taken all of this with no obvious damage or even wearing of the bushings.

Good luck with your decision.
