Default Bead lock wheels

I am looking at Walker Evans bead locks, do any of you run the true bead lock wheels on-road?
Is it advisable to run true bead locks on the street?
I hate to think I need 2 sets of wheels and tires to go on and off road....
Just asking..
Thanks....

I have the AEV Pinter Beadlocks and love them! They are DOT certified so you can drive on the road legally. After installing these myself I do not see how they can leak from that bead ring. If you see how it grabs on to the tire and locks it in so tight I do not believe it would leak unless you do not tighten the bolts to the specified foot pounds.
