beadlocks?
Others may correct me but i believe bead locks are used when running very low tire pressure while off road with running the risk of the tire bead breaking free and the tire comming off.
In some states using bead lockers on the road is not allowed.
That last part is from memory from having a TJ many years ago.

Yep they are indeed. I have an H1 as well as the Rubicon, all H1 beadlock wheels are stamped DOT legal. As mentioned, they are one of the few. Hutchinson also happens to be the OEM Hummer H1 wheel provider. Great company, great wheels, but pretty spendy.
