Default beadlocks?

What are beadlocks used for I have no clue. I'm upgrading tires and rims so I'm doing my research now. Also I'm going to run the spare delete

Others may correct me but i believe bead locks are used when running very low tire pressure while off road with running the risk of the tire bead breaking free and the tire comming off.

In some states using bead lockers on the road is not allowed.

That last part is from memory from having a TJ many years ago.

They clamp the bead to the rim so of you air down ur tires u won't have problems with tire coming off rim. They make fake simulated bead lock wheels that look pretty good

That is correct. And not carrying a spare is dumb.

Just to clarify, beadlocks are not governed by state laws. Most beadlock rims are not street legal because the mfg does not go through the cost of certification with the Federal DOT. Both AEV and Huttchenson have gained DOT stamps and are legal in all 50 states.

Yep they are indeed. I have an H1 as well as the Rubicon, all H1 beadlock wheels are stamped DOT legal. As mentioned, they are one of the few. Hutchinson also happens to be the OEM Hummer H1 wheel provider. Great company, great wheels, but pretty spendy.

Cheers

Pretty sure the Racelines are too. I see a couple people where I live with the ATX slabs too.
