Default Bed liner vs plasti dip

Fixing to black out grill and hinges. What would be more long term hassle free, and what would be the best brand as far as being uv protected. Don't want that black lookin gray after a long hot summer..... Thanks!

I bedlined mine last winter. Seems to be holding up well. Lightly sanded the grill and hinges. Put on a coat of primer. 3 coats of duplicolour bspray bedliner, the aerosol cans you can buy at the store. Also did my step bars. Seems to be holding up very well. After a year, (and once you clean it) everything is still nice and black. And the colour and texture matches the look and feel of stock black plastics on the jeep. Plasti-dip is something some of my truck buddies have used, and its fine, really easy to do, easy clean up. But its not anywhere close to being as durable. The main thing is that it takes no time to re-do your plasti-dip job. So you can put on a fresh coat every year to keep the colour bright. Personally i like the bedliner better though

Bedlined is permanent, plastic dip is temporary.. Plastic Dip is a very cheap way to see if you will like it first.. 5 bucks a can so its a very cheap way to see if the looks fits your persona... If you like it, make it permanent.. All that said, my grill has been dipped for 6 months and zero issues, my rims were done for 8 before I lifted and made a change.. The rims are still flawless and I used the shot out of them... On a high wear area like door entries, dura liner is better... But, I have no complaints at all on the dip and I can remove it if I change my mind... WIN...

Bed liner for long term. I personally like the texture of rustoleum over the duplicolor
