how long for bedliner to dry before moving the vehicle into the elements ?

A day? I mean, they don't put special covers on them after they do it to the trucks.

did you make sure to give it a uv coating? if not, it will fade and look crappy pretty quickly.

No, its usually an option I believe or at least for the good stuff. I think it has some UV protectant in it but you can get a higher grade UV resistance for extra which is recommended.
