Bedlining bottom of tub myself, bad idea?
So I really want to have the 4" strip at the base of the doors bedlined because they just get so scratched up from getting in and out. I also have a slight ding in one spot that wont show if the glossy finish is removed.
So I got a quote and its a lot more than I am willing. $225
So what if I did a masking job with painters tape and used duplicplor? Or maybe herculiner.
I just worry because I would hate to ruin the finish...
Has anyone done this on their own or had it pro done? Anyone have pics?

I did it in a TJ, my brother's actually. We just scuffed up the floor with alcohol and some scotchbrite pads. Dried it up, rinsed it, cleaned it up and sprayed. Hindsight being 20/20, we shoulda scuffed more paint up and done more than just 3 coats of the duplicolor bendliner. But it looked good when we got done.

How durable is it?
Someone recently posted up pictures of their pinch seams masked off and bedlined. It looked pretty good. If you prep the surface enough, it will stick just fine. It's bedliner, its made for this kinda stuff.
