Default Bedlining tub

I pulled my carpet out of the jeep and hinted to the wife that it sure would be nice line-x'd and she total went for it. So I went to the line-x place here in town and they said it would be $450 if i stripped it or $650 if they had to strip it all down. I already have my carpet pulled and the backseat stays in my spare bedroom. The only thing that kinda has me worried is they said they had to pull the roll bar. I have read a bunch of threads and watched a few YouTube videos and I never heard them mention they had to remove the roll bar. What are yalls thoughts?

I bedlined the interior of my jeep myself and cant see what reason they'd need to remove the roll bar. I would imagine if their worried about getting overspray on it that they could just mask/tape it off. I'd give them a call to see what reason they require the roll bar to be removed

You can buy a Raptor lining kit that comes with everything and do it yourself. The kit is $120 and then all you need is a compressor. I'm sure there's a thread on here about it Raptor kit. I've had a couple buddies do it and it looks great. Plus it comes in different colors.... And he never pulled the roll bar

im looking at doing it myself with Monstaliner. I liked their tinted products, and since I couldn't get a 2012 JKU in Sahara Tan, figure I might as well line the interior in Tan. I think it will compliment the black exterior.

I know I could save a few hundred if I did it myself but I just don't have the time. I work 5 days a week and usually 70+ hrs in those 5 days. But anyway I am fine with the price just don't know why they want to remove the roll bar. I guess I'll call them tomorrow and find out. I'm sure they are just going to tell me that's it's in the way and it would bee easier to spray without it being there.

I had my 2011 jku linexed back in December and I paid $700 for the linexed xtra and I did the stripping. No need to remove the rollbar. I suggest you do the tear down yourself to make sure it gets done correctly.

Well I just called them and they said it was just to make it easier to spray. Seems like a lot of work, when they can just tape it off.

Kinda strange that they consider it easier to cut it off and weld it back on than to mask it off. Call them and explain its welded to the tub and not coming off.

As for stripping, pull the passenger seat, plastic floor trim, seatbelts, plastic tailgate trim, floor plugs and the center console. Also get a trim tool and pop off the clips that hold the wiring harness to the tub and bungee it to the roll cage so they dont cake it with Line-x
