bedlining winch

Default bedlining winch

Ok so my xrc 8 has faded quite a bit in less then a year.. Any body ever bed line theirs? it would be something different.. Also anybody know any roll on bed liners that are colored? Also any down sides?

I would really not suggest bedlining a winch. Winches generate heat when running, and need to dissipate that heat. A bedliner will encase that heat and probably cause premature failure.

Why don't you just buy a cover for it? I run neophrene covers on my winch. They last about 3 years and are cheap insurance against fading, or winch rope premature wear which is why I run a cover.

Didn't think about the heat.. And I guess just didn't want something someone could just snag off.. People in the city just don't respect Jeeps very often haha

Good point. I didn't think about theft... Buy a used on off cragslist and paint it red. That way no one would want to steal it!
