Default Bent Axle

hey everyone i need some advice. I have a 2007 sahara, 3.5" RC lift with 35" tires... i was wheeling the other day and bent my stock axle. my buddy tells me that the stock axle isnt strong enough to hold these offset wheels. so i think i should be buying stronger axles? im kinda new to all this so i dont know what i need to be looking for and where to look.

also wanted to "re-gear", i hear the term but not completely sure what it means but i think now would be a good time to do it... please please send some knowledge my way.

front axle or rear and if the front, are you sure you bent your axle and not just the axle c? either way, if you plan on playing hard, i would recommend getting a dynatrac prorock 44. regarding re-gearing, it would be a good time to do this as well. what it does is change the ratio of your ring & pinion to something that's a better fit for your larger tires.

Two things...first, your friend is full of crap. The JK stock axle can handle a 35" tire and offset wheel just fine. (although sometimes gussets are a good idea )

And secondly, since you've already bent your axle, you need to look here.

http://www.dynatrac.com/

Study it, learn it, love it. And be prepared to get your credit card out.

Id have to agree with the above post, your friend doesnt understand that JK axles are 10x stronger then TJ axles. If you have a Dana 30 in the front with 35s most likely you bent your C's. I would go get it aligned and see what a professional says about your chamber. Thats what I did when I noticed wheel shimmy and turns out my C's were the problem.
