Default Bent Lower Control Arm mount

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with there front lower control arm mounts bending? I bent one of mine up real bad while wheeling on NYD. After looking at it, the mounts coming off the axle look pretty thin and I can see how it could easily happen. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know of a way to make them stronger, or to protect them? Below are some pics of mine.

I had some 3/16" plate welded along the front side.

I welded 3x4x3/16 flat stock o the face of the bracket. It works as a skid and keeps it from distorting.

Daaaaamn... What were you doing when this happened? Did you slip on a rock and have the weight of your Jeep come down on that side (on the control arm)... or is it easier to bend these things than that?
