Bent steering stabilizer bracket?
I was driving to work this morning, when my steering wheel begain rapidly bumping, or jerking slightly to the right, for about 3 seconds, then it stopped. I knew something was broken, or loose, so I pulled over and found my Teraflex steering stabilzer dangling from the frame mount and it had come completely off of the bracket on the steering link. The nut, bushing and metal sleeve were all still in place, but the stabilizer had come off of all of them, slipping over even the nut.
I have contacted Joe and Teraflex, who is working with me, but I need some help from the good people on this forum to see if something may be wrong with mounting bracket.
While I wait to see what to do about the TF stabilizer, I was going to put the OEM one back on, but I couldn't because the bracket seems bent. However, there are no signs of an impact or other damage that would have bent it. I know I haven't hit anything with it. I've even been wheeling since installing it, but I am positive I haven't hit anything with it. It is possible that the stabilizer bent the bracket? The roads where I live are very bumpy rough. I thought that maybe the bracket gradually bent the bracket with each impact until the bushing gave out and let the stabilzer slip completely off.
Here are some pictures of the bracket . Please post pics of yours so I can compare them or let me know if any of you think it looks like it is at a wrong angle.

Something just happend to the shock absorber that probably wouldn't let it compress and your power steering just bent the bracket.
No big deal just staiten it put the stock stabilizer on and point the bracket up a little higher to keep it away form anything that could hurt it.
Looks like you could use some dents and scratches on the underbelly.

Looks to me like the bracket is pointed down to much on the tie rod. Seems to me the bracket should be more on the backside of the tie rod. Are the u-bolts in the original location? Or have they been moved? The tereflex stabilizer fully extended is about one inch shorter than the factory one fully extended. This may have something to do with it and the fact that the bracket is rotated down causing stress at full lock when your turning. Hope I explained it right. I have one of those factory brackets if you need it , beer of course.
Your brackethas already been weakened by the bend, bend it back weakens it more. Ok for temp fix, but you need a new one. Let me know
