Default Bent sway bar

Hey guys, so the other day I was under the jeep re torquing some bolts since I wanted to go over everything after installing my lift a few weeks ago.

Any who, during the lift we were installing some teraflex quick discos, they were pretty difficult to get lined up, at the time I didn't think much of it, the jeep was off the ground and it was parked funny in the garage so I assumed it was just from the axle drooping. However, while I was under there I figured I would disconnect them to double check that they weren't binding up and found out that my sway bar is twisted, after re connecting one side of the links, the other sits about an inch or so either up or down.

To get the disco back on I literally had to use a pry bar to press one side of the sway bar back down to slide the bushing over the pin. I've seen threads regarding the tabs being bent outward or inward but never a sway bar that was twisted like mine, anyone have any ideas on how to resolve?

I was thinking about maybe just getting some adjustable links and just tossing the teraflex ones, the other alternative is to buy a new front sway bar but that is like 300 dollars. I figured I would have trouble twisting it back down because even the pry bar wouldnt twist it back.

take it off and set it on a level surface and you will see if it is truly bent. A jeep that leans to one side will also have issues hooking up links.

No evidence that the jeep is leaning to one side, won't be able to yank the sway bar off to check for sure until next week at least, as its my DD. But just eyeballing it I can tell one tab is lower than the other. I have even tried reconnecting the links on different 'level grounds'. Still off by an inch, maybe more

Measure from the frame to the top of the axle tube on both sides (this tells you if there is any lean) and then measure from the frame to the eye of the sway bar link hole. That will tell you if the tabs are off. Adjust the link accordingly.

No matter how level the surface, I have never been able to reconnect my sway bar links without bouncing the Jeep a bit. Even a full tank of gas will make some difference when trying to reattach. When going to reconnect, your Jeep will never be perfectly level. Go make the links perfect, disconnect them, go drive a round, then try and reconnect.
