Default Bent swaybar link tabs?

About two weeks ago I installed a TF leveling kit. Today I noticed that the driver side mounting tab on the axle is bent out toward the tire pretty badly. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any ideas as to what could have caused it?

did you go wheeling recently? if so, do you have a rubicon or did you wheel with your links connected?

Not a rubi. I live in Nebraska and have'nt done any hard offroading with it. You can see right in the middle of the link there is some paint missing and the link is bowed a little bit, so something must have impacted it. I just don't know what could have that specific spot hard enough to do that kind of damage and not have hit anything else. It's as if something slowly applied pressure in that spot.

if i can guess, you are still running the factory front links? if so, you most likey got a bit too much droop somewhere along the line and the link hit your tie rod. this is a common problem and the best way to address it is to get new longer links in the rear and then install the factory rear links up front.

my drivers side sway link tab also seems bent.. but toward the inside. when it bent I was disconnecting the sway link when I wheel the JK (my tie rod is also scraped in the same spot so im assuming a rock was the culprit). These days it stays connected and so far it has not bent anymore.

I have the longer links that came with the leveling kit installed up front. My best guess is that it got bound up somehow but I can't imagine when I would have flexed the suspension enough to do that. I wonder if the tab might break off at some point now. Should I worry about it? I figure some kind of fab shop could probably bend it back into place for me.

I'm not certain, but the links that come with the kit go in the rear on the budget boost. Is it not the same for the leveling kit? I would think that you need to put your stock rear links on the front, and put your new links on the rear. This will keep you from drooping to low, which, as wayoflife said, probably caused your link to bend on the tie rod.

The guy on here who is a TF rep mentioned in another thread that the ones that come with the leveling kit go in the front.

The thought did cross my mind though that perhaps they sent me the links for the bb on accident.
