bent TeraFlex coil
Ok guys i finally got a chance to do a little flexing on a dirt pile by my house after installing TeraFlex 4" full flex system . After i made sure nothing was rubbing i parked my JK, only to notice it was leaning to the passenger side after looking i noticed the passenger coil was bowed slightly into the frame rail. I took some measurements and found the passenger side was 1" lower than the drivers side. I checked to make sure the bump stops were aligned an they were,i also checked the axle alignment to make sure it was centered it was good also. Do u uys have any suggestions on what could have caused this i have another spring coming an i don't want this to happen again.
Thanks, Todd

Is it seated correctly top and bottom? Thera is a notch on the bottom mount. Also is your driver side bowing out? If so, your axle is not centered. Or maybe the coil turned or wasn't properly seated to begin with when you flexed it.

I have a 2.5 TF lift and seem to have the same problem. I can see that mine leans to the passenger side a little. I havent measured yet but the gap between coils on the rear springs seems to be smaller on the passenger side than on the driver side.
I was thinking about swapping the springs to see if the lean moved.

Not to say that a bent coil is okay, but just to lean to the passenger side a little is normal. This is caused by the additional weight of fuel on that side. This figure provides a comparison with of an empty versus full fuel tank ...

Or maybe it's a bad spring, knock out all the other things that could be wrong before pulling the spring and sending it back. I'm not saying that there are not bad springs out there , but alot of so-called bad parts end up sometimes being an install error or something else needs adjusting. Start simple first and work your way from there.

Everything that was mentioned was checked prior to the first test run. I sent Carl at Tera Flex + pictures an he could not find anything out of adjustment. Tracking was center.bump stops were directly over pads.Control arms were preloaded before being torqued.Caster is set to 4 degrees.Steering is toed in 1/8-1/4. The jeep was level from left to right before testing after testing right side leaned about 3/4". If i missed something please let me know also Carl said to look for the part number label on the coil none of my coils were shipped with labels.
