No doubt would love to drop in a 6.1L V8 like my last Cherokee had but unfortunately the funds are limited.

Well pulled the trigger on the Hypertech Max today. Going to see what that does first before I spend the $$ on regearing. The 4.10 gears aren't horrible as I just picked up my JK tonight with all the goodies added-very exciting. Will post pic soon! Thanks for the tips and always looking for good tips. Still looking for good step/sliders for the 4 door. tough to find!

BjeepN,
Looking forward to hear how you like the Hypertech, I am considering doing the same.
I guess I am really missing that 4.0's low end torque.
Gears will come eventually($$$$$), but until then I am looking for the best way to uncork this 3.8L
Please let us know how you like it.

I have the hypertech, but i also have 5.13s. It gave me maybe a little bit more low end right off the bat, but nothing spectacular. I'm talking about 1000-1500prms The most noticeable, though, is how much it smoothed out the power band, and how much more it pulls from 15 or 1600 to 2200. It doesnt feel like the engine is much more powerful, and it definitely pulls a little better. Dont expect anything monumental, but it helps.

I have the air raid and the borla dual exhaust. Now I dont have seat of my pants speed, but it at least sounds fast and when i stomp the accelerator I can hear and maybe feel it. Next step is headers for sure, but i'm still undecided on what chip. One person says its good and others say they bought it and didn't feel shit. So hopefully headers can give me some more power and hopefully get me close to a V-8 sound.
