In other words, is your entire vehicle warranty voided (i.e. problems with your hard top, seat belts, carpeting, etc.) just because you went 1" taller than what they are saying you can go? Does this really make sense to you?
I will confirm but i believe that it wont effect entire vehicle warranty. Just if say i have a 3" lift and kept the stock shocks. If the shocks break they would not be warrantied.

If i have a 2" lift and the stock shocks are broken then they would still be covered under warranty.

But you are right, The 3" > lift should not affect warranty to any parts not connected,(i.e. problems with your hard top, seat belts, carpeting, etc.)

well even though there is that law (thanks clackey573 for posting it), i would still suggest to you that you have your dealer's service manager give you something signed in writing that stated what he told you... A 2" lift will fit a 34" tire and maybe even a 35" though there will be some rubbing issues... ( I think, someone feel free to correct me if i'm not quite right on that). I'd say get it in writing, and go for it. The only other thing i thought of is maybe they are only thinking of a 2" budget boost when they told you that. I've heard lots of dealers say they will warranty stuff with a budget boost as the factory springs, control arms, and often times shocks stay put. Lastly, depending on how hard you wheel, you may want to consider a budget boost. They're affordable, and like i just mentioned, you get to keep you factory ride characterists thanks to keeping factory springs, shocks, etc. Anyway, thats my two cents, but whatever you do, if you keep it at two inches, it might save a lot of aggravation to have that statement in writing. It certainly wont hurt. Good luck..

See, now there's another problem. You really shouldn't be using stock shocks on anything other than a stock suspension. If you lift your Jeep 2", 3" or more, you really should have new longer shocks to go with it or at the very least, shock extensions. Without them, you will limit the performance of your Jeep's articulation on the trails and run the risk or prematurely wearing them out and/or breaking them altogether even with just a 2" lift.

Boy you are hard! It was just an example.. But Thank you for your advice. It has been very helpful! I will talk to the dealer tonight when i pick my JK back up and make sure I know what I am talking about. It was leaking fluid from the rear. above the exhaust. I have no idea what it is but will hopefully find out shortly.

I would go with a spring lift and longer shocks something like Rusty's Off-Road Products offers in a 2" lift.

Do any lift you want and if something breaks take it to a lift friendly Dealer for service. They will most likely fix the part that failed reguardless of the lift. I am sure someone around you knows of one.

LOL!! Sorry, I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I'm just trying to help you out and try to compel you to not limit yourself as to how high you can build your Jeep up just because of what your dealer has told you.

Any I am looking at the Full traction 2" and RE 2". Are there any other options? What are you guys running and do you like them? Also, Should i get the shocks too?

THanks!
Now I might be wrong, but I swear that I've red on here (and I'm sure there are, even if I didn't read it here) that there were some dealers that had Jk's with 4" Skyjackers on the lot. If what your dealer told you were anywhere near the truth, those dealers would not be doing that. According to your5 dealer, I bet removing the top will void the warrany, or maybe driving it in the rain. What a joke. It pains me that there are dealers out there like that. It makes my job harder becuse of these idiots.

Well I just visited my dealer today. I told them about they installing a lift on my JK, The Service Manager told me there was no way they could do any mods or warrant any vehicle with mods because of DC, which constantly visited their Service Shop and check on labor done as warranty and of course on modifications (they would write down your VIN number and apply restrictions form their computers regarding the mods they see).
I toad that if they installed, they would warrant; but no way.
Besides it would only void the suspension warranty.

OK. Here goes. Talked to the dealer tonight when i picked up my ruby. I was correct in saying that any mod above 2" would void warranty on any thing RELATED to the lift. (WAYOFLIFE, I highlight for U... LOL) Any thing under 2" and i am covered. The dealer says this is because this is what they were told by DC. I was very compelling in telling him that i couldnt even run35's without rubbing with a 2" LIFT. So he said he would make some calls to DC to see if he could improve the hight amount. We'll see. Im not holdin my breath. And this from a dealer that has there own Camp jeep.
