It increases torque from 1500 to 2500 rpm by swirling the air. It
looks like it is threaded on the inside with about 3 turns in 3/4
inch. They only put it on at the Airaid factory yesterday and took their
promotional pictures. I have only driven the Jeep 10 miles since then
with it on.

K&N has the best intake systems I've ever come across. As for TBS, Hesco has the best, I've tested a few.

Well considering neither of those are available for the JK, yet, look at either Airaid or AEM.

The last I heard about K&N was October 2007. If you want something now, you've got two choices. Of course you could always spend that money on other upgrades now, lift, bumper, whatever. You will have more choices in everything in time.

My point is there really isn't THAT much difference in AEM, Airaid, K&N, Volante, or whatever. If you want it now, get what you can. The end result with an AEM vs an Airaid versus a K&N won't be much different, but they will all be better than stock.

I really hate the implication (not by you, but in general) that there is only one correct way to do things. It's your Jeep, make it YOUR Jeep.

Have to agree that the difference is probably very small.so you can go by dyno result from the makers for the products and hope you can trust that of the seat of pants that people tell you about or flip a coin.it's all about the same.
