Default Best CAI?

I am in the process of ordering a CAI. Are there any differences that I should be aware of? I had found an AEM for $245. Just wondering if I should consider others, such as Airaid, K&N, etc.

I paid a total of $225 after shipping for my K&N Brand new on Ebay and I can honestly say I have no complaintes I am showing a gain between .5 to 2 miles per gallon better depeanding on my driving and even when driving hard so I can hear the great engine noise it has helped create I still don't get worse then I have ever gotten out of the stock intake.

I know the air raid is the most common but other then K&N oil filters which are shit and not worth buying I have always been partial to K&N.

That's a good price. Does it come down to personal choice on the CAIs? Which one looks the best? I have heard that a lot of JK owners use air raid.

I went with the K&N because it has a steel support bar that mounts on the engine block. So when you engine moves off road the CAI moves with it.

yeah a lot of it is personal choice.
Air raid was one of the first on the market though so that is the main reason why you see a lot more Jeep owners with this version over any other.
The K&N just cam out about 2 months ago and the Purejeep version was just released if I am not mistaken

The K&N is a good looking cai. Do some need oiled and some don't. I was told that that the AEM cai was a dry one? Any benefits or drawbacks?

Non-oiled filters dirty just as quickly as their oiled counterparts... and they take about the same amount of time to clean. This is my third jeep. I installed Air riads on all and have never been dissapointed.

As far as I know the dry does not flitrate as well and does not last as long. The K&N needs oil as do most

I plan to get an Airaid (personal preference) but I have seen the AEMs on Ebay new for $199 so check around on prices.
