I haven't heard of anyone breaking any of the after market dif covers, but I'm sure some one has. That leave the best as hard to determine with them all doing their job. The ARB has a dipstick and magnet to pick up any metal shavings while the majority of others are smooth without places they can hang up, deflecting rocks.

So totally your call and the ARB is going to cost a few extra bucks.

I've got SOLIDs. Before adding a JKS rear track bar (was running OEM TB + frame side drop-down bracket), I got interference which resulted in a severed e-locker wiring harness 12,000 feet up on Wheeler Lake trail south of Breckenridge.

IMO, ARB covers are overpriced and the dipstick and magnetized drain plug are superfluous. I do like the fact the covers feature counter-sunk bolt holes, however, as I've ground an allen or two down to nothing during one long day on the trail.

Had to do over again, I'd buy Riddler covers. Stout nodular iron, (mostly) protected bolt holes, no fins or sharp edges to hang up on and less costly than ARB.

Depends on what caliber you need the diff cover to handle.

JP magazine did a review on a bunch of dif covers.

I have ARB, bullet proof...incredibly strong and they have a built in gage to check your def. fluid level.

Thumbs up

I bought a little known brand called Rock Crusher. Easy to install and have served me well. Less than $100 a piece at Quadratech.
