Default Best Price and Vendor?

At this time I am looking for the best place to obtain the Rubicon Express 2.5 inch standard coil lift kit with mono tube shocks (RE7141M), at the best price. I've researched 2.5 inch lift kits twice now about a year apart and came to the exact same conclusion both times, so I'm going to pull the trigger.

Any advice is welcome on where to buy it at the best price, but unless there is some major reason to NOT use this particular kit, I'm pretty much sold.

Then we'll talk about where to buy 35" General Grabbers AT2's!

There are a lot of lift manufacturers out there that make quality lift kits. This ain't one of them.

The springs are known to start to sag rather quickly. Plus, they leave out some parts you would expect to be included.

Don't get me wrong. It is a budget lift kit and you get what you pay for. If you are on a tight budget, this may be your only option. Just don't expect it to perform like a $2,000 lift from Rock Krawler or AEV.

If you look at this as more of a gateway kit, you might be satisfied.

Ah, I see. Here's my goal: a less than 3" lift just to fit 35" tires, and to gain a little more ground clearance. Not into heavy duty rock crawling, but many of the old mining roads up here in Montana and Wyoming do get pretty rough in places and require some limited rock crawling just to get to the smooth parts, lol.

Don't need a big expensive lift, but don't want to get something that won't last and will cost me more in the long run.

I welcome advice on a good kit that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but will spend what is necessary to make it as I need it.

In your research, what specifically pointed you to that kit?

Have you read through the two threads stuck to the top of this modified area and learned yourself a bit on what the various components do? (and then compared those components to what is in the kit, and maybe come to a decision on why you may not want to install some components that are included, or why you don't want the components that are not included...)

If that is the mfg you decide on, you might shoot a pm to the forums rep for 4WD/4WP (they own RE I believe). His screen-name is bustabizz

Default Lift

I just did this set up for someone on Tuesday. There are plenty out there to accomplish this. Rubicon would not be on this list though. Shoot me a text if you want a few suggestions and prices.

Out here in western Montana... Running no lift and 35s on trimmed fenders. Excellent street manors and very capable off road. Just get some armor and call it a day.

Chemlight is right about stuffin a 35 under a stock height with trimming the fenders.

Lifts have so many options and varying quality, I would not look to the community to pick for you.

Lots of vendors on here to pick from that will give you pricing lower than the advertised prices.
