Default Best on-road shocks for a lifted JK

What are the best on-road ride shocks for a lifted JK? I have a 2.5" lift and 35" tires.

Thanks!

King without a doubt, but they are also the most expensive!

elka, bilstein, fox, king, ome...probably in that order, but that is my personal opinion and in no way reflect any first hand experience. If you are looking for a cushy ride try ome, elka, then bilstein in order from softest to not as soft but still amazing ride quality over stock. Again, all of this info is from countless hours I have spent reading. I have no first hand experience with any of the products, just saving you some time. By all means do your re search as well. These shocks all range from 500$ a shock to only 100$ a shock. Choose according to budget, application, and personal preference.

I'm running Fox 2.0 remote res shocks that I love, but my last set of shocks were Bilstein 5100's and they were an awesome all around shock. Best shock for under $100. You'll be happy so long as you buy a gas shock, none of the standard Hydro shocks.

Rancho's adjustable RS9000XL's. Have a super plush ride or firm it up to what you want.
Not too expensive, made in the USA, limited life time warranty as well.

I am curious as well. I have a Procomp lift, and the ride is extremely rough. Its supposively a 4" lift, but it doesnt look much taller than 2.5's I've parked next to. For a softer ride, what are you guys running? This lift is uncomfortable!

The very popular/affordable go to's are Bilstein 5100's. I had them and they rode A LOT better than stock and hydro shocks that come with most lifts.

I respectfully disagree with this one. My buddy just had King Coil Overs installed on his 13 and it rides EXTREMELY rough. It skips over bumps and doesnt absorb any big bumps at all, felt like I had two fillings come out after I drove it. I was shocked yesterday after I drove it. He is very unhappy and will be taking it back to the place that installed it. I dont know if its shock valving or firm springs, but I would be PISSED if I spent that kind of money for that kind of ride!
