The huge gap can be a good thing as it keeps the rocks farther away, thus when the rock gets to the plastic fender it doesn't do quite as much damage to the rear fender.

Also the ACE rock rails mount in 3 places on a 4dr.

The main thing is there are many options for us, pick the one that best suits you and what you are looking for...

They don't look "stupid", just incomplete. I love mine but I'm looking for a set of Rubi rails to compliment them. A log came up and bent my pinch seam though so I'm not sure they'll fit now. If I woulda had them on, it wouldn't have caused damage... :-(

You do not need the Rubi rails but it helps complete the look, plus added protection. Couldn't be happier with the Ace rails.
I have a LOD front bumper that was quite pricey and I really am not crazy about the quality. That is why I decided to go with a different rock rail. The Ace rails are solid though. Plus Price and Warranty are great with Ace.

Nemesis billy rockers. I've beat mine up on rocks and trees and they are holding up great. They are a make up a total of three pieces body armor, inner frame and boatside slider. Made out of aluminum (weight savings) and tough as shit. I use them as a pivot point off stumps and trees all the time. And they look cool!

No problems with my EVO sliders. Tough as can be, and have never failed me.

Here is a Project-JK video featuring Mel in EVO1. Notice the abuse the EVO sliders are taking.

Ive recently added the Smittybilt SRC Rocker guards. Look great, simple removal of the stock rubi rails, bolts to the body mounts, reasonably easy DIY.

For $299 the xrc smittys seem like the best value for guys running a body lift and need a slider to mount like the oem rubys..my jeep has a 1.25" bl and it looks great!
