Default best RTV to use for diff cover change?

I'm doing the swap today/tomorrow and need to buy RTV sealant, do I use high temp or regular? I need something that can be purchased at AutoZone or that type store, don't have time to order online...

Well I was gonna be a wise guy and say "Lube Lockers" BUT, since ya don't have time to order...use
"Locktite Superflex Blue RTV #30560". Essentially just "regular" RTV.

lol I read about lube lockers on here several times, but finally got time off to work on the JK and have to settle for store brand! Haha thanks for the advice.

I was the same way. All the local store had was the red stuff. I've used it on oil pans in the past so figured I'd use it on the covers....so far works good and no leaks

None.

Try Lubelocker gaskets. Much cleaner install and they are reusable.
