Why can't you gap a fine wire plug? I bought the Champion Double Platinums and they gapped perfectly. Did I miss something?

The O.E.'s seem to work the best.

I have had really good results with Denso Iridium. I have the Autolite Iridium in the Jeep now and the truck runs good.

NGK Iridium Ix plugs are what I run. I installed them in JK. Very nice quality plugs. Champion makes some serious garbage plugs.

Because the fine wire plugs the di-od is so brittle that when you gap them you chip tiny pieces off you won't be able to see them but it happens and it changes how it sparks somehow i had to take a class on all this working for orielly auto parts

Thanks for all the great advice..just trying to pinpoint the problem. I only have 33's and the TF 2.5" Coil lift and I'm at 13 mpg..I've got an 07 jku auto, just seems way off for my 4.10's. it also idles rough so that's why I'm wondering if my plugs are bad or not.

Thanks all, keep the advice coming!

What engine do you have? How many miles? How long has this been going on? What kind of maintenance history does it have at what interval? What service are you due for? What kind of gas do you run? What's you driving conditions (such as environmental)?

copper plugs are the best plugs you can use. they conduct the spark better and are less likely to overheat. Gapping will have to be changed as is not the same as the stock specs
