Default Best tire carrier??

Just got 35 inch Nitto Trail Grapplers and the spare won't fit on the back, what's the best way to make it fit? Don't really feel like spending over 200 bucks! Thanks!

Haha all I want is a replacement for the stock tire carrier not a rear bumper with a tire carrier or anything

Cheapest/easiest route would be a bracket form TF, RC, Synergy, Hyline, a lot of options for a bracket that will push your spare out and up allowing it to fit for under $60. Smittybilt has a replacement mount for under $200. Still gonna add a bit off stress to your gate though without an actual carrier replacement. I'm content using TeraFlex' hinge carrier, worth every bit of $500.

Did you just run the spacer on the stock tire carrier?

You might want to look into the Teraflex tire carrier. Your going to spend few hundred bucks more but its worth the investment and you wont destroy your gate from the weight of the tire/wheel.

That's not really good advice man no offense. It's been proven that even a 35" spare can damage the stock rear gate from the extra weight. I personally am just going to throw the tire in the back when I go wheeling until I can afford a new rear bumper and tire carrier. I thinks it's dumb to go buy 5 tires at the expense they are and the. Not take the precautions to make sure they don't damage something else costing you more money later. You know the saying "you gotta pay to play". That's this scenario completely. You may be able to get away with running a 35" spare with no carrier or bracing like the TF carrier but eventually you'll mess up the rear gate. Now you have to spend that money you saved by just throwing a spare on to repair the gate and you still are left with the same problem.

Continuing on...I've had a 35" MTR on my stock carrier for the past year and I've had zero issues.

Right....

I really like my Teraflex hinged carrier combo solution. It's more than the 200 but less than any of the quality bumper/carrier solutions out there, plus you retain the simplistic way of opening you tailgate.
