Default Best tire for the money?

I'm looking for new All terrain tires for my 16 x 8 rims. I'm leaning toward the BFG KO's. Any other brand that would be better, cheaper? Will a 265/70R16 be a good looking size or should I go larger. I do not have a lift yet. Thanks guys/girls for any opinions.

Wait till you get a lift and then buy tires.

If you are really the Art Director for a small Offroad magazine - do a Project JK article on your own Jeep - and let the sponsors pay for all of your mods. Ask Wayoflife - it's well worth it.

I would, but my company is rather touchy about getting free "GERB". Long story.
I had to bitch and moan to get the rims, and got only 4 instead of 5. I am doing an article on my JK in our offroad mag, but the process takes time and my sales people are not helping me out. If I contact a supplier, I will make the salesmen mad. They are a bunch of weirdo's who think they should get free stuff for their mall cruisers instead of the man that makes their ads and articles look good AND owns a new JK.

I have thought about doing a feature about this website for our mag, but I'm not sure who to contact. Im just the art director, not an editor. I might just get permission from the owners of this site and do the feature using their info and/or supplied pics. I want word of this site to get around. I would like to do a feature of the month on some of the contributors on JK Forums. I'll draft up a request for the owners of this site soon.

I saw the coopers, but I guess the BFG will be my chose. A certain chain tire store near me has them on sell for $149.99 each instead of the usual $189. Thats pretty good from what little I've seen online and at other local places.

Default just so you know

if you are going to put a lift on, and have after market wheels. ( i think you said you got some for free? ) buy 33's because they will fit on your jk stock, and will look great if you lift it 2-3 inches! the equivalent for a 16 size rim is 285 or 305. just to let you know

Thanks. I do think I have a lift coming soon. I don't know anything but that it is for a JK and it cost me nothing. I guess a 285/75r16 may be the ticket.

Oh, and the back spacing on my wheels is like 3.625". Thats pretty sweet right?
