Heat it up with a blow drier and then while blowing, carefully lift one corner with a straight razor and slowly pull it off

Vinyl decals typically don't have any sticky residue. It should come off clean

Default I removed all stickers

Proud owner of new black, 6 spped Sahara. I easily removed all body stickers, just use a credit card to lift a corner and gently peel. A little residue may remain which can be removed with some goo removal stuff you can buy at an office supply store. I also removed the sun visor stickers with some difficulty. They peel off but leave residue. After a few good soakings with the goo stuff and a rag that won't leave lint, they look perfect.

WD-40, something that should always be in a Jeep, will also take off the gooy stuff and is not strong enough to damage the clear coat.

Took a hair dryer to my side stickers today, came off 99% clean and just hit the rest with some Goo Gone. Much easier than I thought it would be.

...then I got a pair of 4" vinyl Willy's-style star decals made at a plastic shop in town and put them on the side panels instead. Looks good IMO... it's dark now but I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
