Default Best winch for JK

I have a 4-Dr JK with lots of body armor, 35" tires, etc. I have a Rock Hard Stubby from bumper without the recessed area for a winch (the winch would mount flush on top).

Which winch would you recommend? I am considering the Warn.

Thanks

I have the Warn 9.5XP Winch. It is very fast and has never let me down.

here is from the site:

With 9,500 lbs. of pulling power and the fastest line speed of any WARN winch under load, the 9.5xp delivers extreme performance that eats up the competition-even in competition. The 9.5xp winch features the High Output Parallel Series Wound winch motor that's the strongest and most durable in the industry. The 6 hp motor, 3-stage planetary gearing and extended-duty control pack work in sync to tackle the most demanding pulls. Full face contact drum seals, motor and end housing gaskets deliver extreme-duty water resistance. A high gloss, chip resistant powder coat finish over primer coated alloys affords superior corrosion resistance.

What do you have in terms of on board air? You may want to consider the powerplant. Just make sure it fits your bumper.

You will not regret any Warn winch. The M8000 would be just fine for your rig. When you do your price shopping be sure to check out Northridge4x4 pricing. Seems to have the best deals around.

X2. Have a few pulls on mine and hasn't let me down.
You can also get a Lifetime Guarantee Warranty for like $50 from 4WD.

It's perfect for the weekend warrior imo.

If you want to save a little money and still buy made in the USA, a Warn M8000 or a Ramsey REP8.5E with a roller fairlead is a good deal.

The Warn 9.5ti is a fantastic winch. A couple of my buddies run them on their JK's, and I would run it too, had my Jeep not already had a winch on it when I bought it.

If you are looking for a budget winch I would go with the xrc-8. It is simply amazing.
