Default Bestop Element Doors

Recently purchased the Bestop Element Door package.
RockRails, Painted Matched Outers, Door Bags and Upper window enclosure.

I'm somewhat satisfied with the product except for the latching mechanism and sealing of the door

That's the complaint I have so far is the latch mechanism and the sealing quality.
My friend who is an engineer is looking at the latch motion which he states it travels to far within the latch allowing it to rattle
Nothing to do with adjustment on the strike plate or latch on the jeep side

The Omix-Ada paddle handle is known to be the weak-link in these and RR doors..

I have a set of RR halfies and the handles do indeed suck.

Is there any solutions, these latches look similar to RV latches and enclosed trailers

I've scoured the web for ways to improve the handles and haven't found anything and from my conversations with Rugged Ridge, they handles I have aren't serviceable. I recall that on my Bestop softies you had pretty good access to the back of the handle so it might be easier.

I found that a shot of oil into the end of the latch mechanism helped a ton. Short of that, alignment is most critical.

What kind of problem do you have with them?

The door when latched rocks inward and outward and rattles. The latch inter mechism moves upward and needs to be limited. I am going to tackweld a small piece of flat metal to restrict the movement and try that out.

And with the seal kit provided huge gaps as seen in pic. So I will be doing some modifying to improve this product.

All I do is wrap black electric tape around the u shaped
latch part on the door jam. Keeps it quiet.
