To anyone who is obsessing about half doors
as much as I am....

I emailed Bestop with the following :
Question: When will a set of 4 element doors be available for the JK four door?

I got a reply email from Besttop today.
And I quote...

"The Element doors will be out shortly, I would anticipate the doors to be out within the next couple of months. "

Now does anybody know where can I get the upper door inserts?
Mopar? Aftermarket?

 

Is the element door on quadratec.

They are only for the front doors, but they do have a soft-top style window that you can buy with the doors.

But the element doors are available for the JK.

 

I want a set of these too, but I want to see what the optional "skins" will look like. With these, you can make the weather-proof (at least by Jeep standards )

 

From a side view, the skins have a stock half door profile.
The only difference is the paddle handle vs. the new JK door handle.

Inside they'll look completely different, Element bars/pouches vs. stock door panels.

 

Maybe they will line the inside with easily scratched plastic!

I cant wait to get these for my unlimited, i e-mailed them a few months ago also, they said they should be available for the 4dr in april!!

 

I just seen these today, they look very sturdy...and well built.

 

That looks pretty good. Will they be offering them in all the factory colors? If so, I wonder how well they will match.
