I recently got the Bestop Highrock 4x4 Overhead Rack and installed it with a set of Yamika ski/snowboard racks. The instillation was easy and the rack worked great on my first ski trip. The only complaint I have is that the rack caused a wistle/humm above 50 mph.

Does anyone have this rack and have you experienced the same problem? If so what is the fix? (picture is not of my jeep, it is from bestop website)

 

almost every ovearhead rack make sound with the wind, even without the bikes or the skies, u have to get used to it

 

Yea i understand there is wind noise with roof racks but this is a whistle.

 

Anyone with experience with this rack?

 

Some people have luck wrapping the rack with cord... Yakima also makes a plastic fin I think it's called a wind jammer.. Either solution could help with the wind noise. I added lights to my Congo cage, which also help with wind noise....
