Default Bestop Mesh Safari?

Installed mine yesterday on my 4dr, but not thrilled with the fit. Side to side it's nice and snug but front to back there's some bulges (like it's too long). Not terrible but I'm a little anal. Anyone know if this is normal? BTW the channel setup is nice.

if the bulges are at the A and B pillars it is normal , everything else should be taunt and smooth
are you using the velcro or the door channels to attach it?

I've got the solid/normal Safari...same comments...it fits great side to side with the OEM door frames. It would be nice if it could be tightened more on the back end though. I run with the duster and windjammer on mine as well.

Can you get a #1 spur hammer set gommet kit and add a few attachment points to suck up the excess?
Any marine awning supply shop should have the grommet kits. Avoid brass. Stainless or hard black anodized are best. You can order tham from Tandy leather supply too.

Yup, I guess it's normal then. It's really not too bad, I'll try not to obsess.

Thanks

I've been able to get mine mostly tight, and then I took a pool noodle, cut in in half, and jammed it between the soundbar and the top. You can't see it from inside or outside, and it really cuts down on the flap.
