Better Shocks???
So I bought my jeep with a 2.5 in skyjacker lift and I'm not impressed with the ride. I was looking at maybe teraflex 9550 VSS shocks
Would they help with the ride and be a better shock overall? Plus if so can I just switch them out without buying anything else? Or are there better options without spending a lot of money? Also I know its a jeep and its not going to be a perfect ride so please keep your smartass comments about the rough ride to yourself

I am interested in new shocks as well. My dad's rubicon with over 115k on his stock shocks rides so smooth. Mine is bone jarring compared to his.
I wonder, is it easy to swap shocks out? Or do you have to remove the coils to do it? I am thinking about Bilstein 5100's since they would work with my 2" BB.

A lot of people on here use and love Bilstien shocks. I had Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks on my '78 Cherokee for many years and absolutly loved them. Even after putting 11 leaf springs under the front axle. doh!

I just got some procomp mx 6 adjustable and I love them so far , my ride before was stiff as hell now I can hit bumps and non smooth roads and barly feel them , in the front I am running them in the middle it's a little soft but my body and my wife likes the ride so much better
The rancho 2" shocks are the same size as stock. The 4" are really suited to a 2-3" lift. They have a longer set for their 4" long arm kit. The Bilsteins 2" shocks is about 25" (625mm) extended, the Rancho 4" front is about 1/4" longer as well (635mm) , and the rear is just short of 26" (654mm). They are a good size for a 2 - 3" lift.
The OME's will either be to short or to long for a 2" lift, however they are about to release a mid length shock at about 26" in length.
