Default between 2 bumpers

I've narrowed my search down to 2 bumpers for my 08 2dr JK
The AEV or ARB. What brand would you pick and why?

I'd go with the ARB. Great quality equal to or better than AEV and you save a few hundred $$. JMO.

I have the AEV and really like it. I chose the AEV because it was the first bumper that I liked. I almost got the ARB to save a couple of bucks but I thought I would not be happy cause I reallly wanted the AEV.

ARB all the way! Didn't care for the curves on the AEV.

If you like the flow of the AEV curves here is your bumper (click the image for a larger view):

On the other hand if you like the straighter lines of the ARB then that's an excellent choice as well.

I own a ARB and has seen first hand the AEV. They may look alike but the ARB is stronger and lighter than the AEV. If you plan to use a winch you'll have a much easier time removing the fairlead (when necessary)with the ARB. The AEV is over priced.

Conclusion: GO WITH THE ARB!

I went with the ARB over the AEV because of two things, price, and the ARB will take a Powerplant install. The AEV will NOT.

By the way, I also welded my turn signal slots closed on my ARB, to me it makes it look cleaner.....

ARB would be my vote!!
Due to the current economic crunch my $0.02 is now worth nothing!

I like what I'm reading so far. It seems it's mainly looks as far as differance . And a littel weight and $$$.
I'm just happy it's not a huge quality differance I'm hearing about.
Sure helps put the mind at ease.
