I agree which is why I am looking to go to a softer tire. Does anyone know of an all terrain that is stock size (255/75/17) and is C rated?

They are not an all terrain, but you can buy the stock Rubicon BFG KM1 mud terrains. They are C rated and pretty cheap too. Check out www.discounttiredirect.com

Other than that, 255/75/17 is an odd size. On top of that, not many tire makers have C rated tires for 17" wheels. Most 17" tires are made for trucks, which need the higher load rating. That's one reason I'm probably going to go with new 15" wheels. I have seen some 275/70/17's that were C rated. I think they were Cooper S/T tires. They would be about the same height as stock, but about an inch wider.
