Default bfg all terrian ko's

I am thinking about picking up a set of 5 of these with some crager soft 8 16s

I am running Goodyear Wrangler TD's right now, they are suppose to be a M/T but look more like a slightly aggressive A/T.....the only reason I got them was because I got a great deal on them from my local tire shop......... guess I made a mistake there cause I am already wanting to upgrade.....want something more aggressive.

My question is does anyone know where to get the best deal on the KO's?

I was wanting to go no bigger than 265/75/16.

I think discount tire direct has them for about 180 a tire..........that seems a bit high for a A/T ..... but maybe they are worth it? Maybe I should go with an aggressive M/T but i dont really want to break the bank right now

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I had them on my TJ. I got a killer deal at Sam's Club (if you have one near you).

I have one here.... and chance have it I am a member Ill check them out today

On there website they are 179 a peice, which is $1 cheaper per tire and paying tax would be about $30 cheaper than shipping cost.....so over all it would be a better deal.........hopefully they can get them cheaper if I get a quote instore lol

about 984 for 5 tires not including install seems a bit high for a set of tires but i gues not if they are worth it

how much did you end up getting them for

I had them on my XJ. Check ebay for tires if you don't want to spend 1,000. It won't be much of a savings maybe 200 ish but you'll probably pay another 100 to have them mounted and balanced.

Do a search of the size you want on google.com. I put in only 255/75/R17 and got a bunch of returns for different tires. Click on the "Product Search for Tires." The first one was BFG MT's at $105.00....

Did you check the for sale section on here?

Hardcore guys seem to go more radical from BFG AT to MT's, quick easy way to get a good set with limited milage

Talking

The AT ko's strong point is a Jack of ALL Trades type of approach...they are good in all but really nasty mud, they work great in snow and sand and dirt, the crawl rocks great, etc....and Our trucks seem to average around 75-90k per set...way more mileage out of them than the cheaper tires.

They have a very aggressive side lug for an AT...which makes a world of difference.

General tire makes a clone, the Grabber AT2 (The AT before its sucked big hairy moosecock...you do NOT want any other General Tires, except, maybe, the AT2).

The AT2 has a strong sidewall - like a Cooper STT, Procomp, Mickey Thompson, etc....but lacks the aggresside side lugs like the ko...but looks very similar other than that....and its a lot cheaper.

They seem to last around 30-45K, about average...so, we'd rather get one set of ko's than 2 sets of AT2's, etc....as they are NOT 1/2 the price, just cheaper.

Foof for thought though depending upon your budget and terrain.
