Default Big Lifts - Please Respond

What is the biggest lift I can put on an 08 4 door Rubicon that will fit with Mickey Thompson 36/15.5/18 Baja Claw Radials? What brand and size? What rims and offset would you recommend? Also, what gear ratio is best for an automatic with this lift & tires? Thanks, Eric

Welcome to the forum. The "search" feature is your friend. To start off with, you need at least a 4" lift, wheels with 4.5" backspacing are usually recommended, and if you want to regear...probably 5.13 gears. Good luck, and don't forget to "search."

i would agree. you might be able to fit those with 3 inches of lift if you made some modifications to the wheel wells and removed the air dam. it seems like there are a couple people on here with 3 inches of lift and 35" tires. i believe 100dollarman is one. more would be better though. i concur on the gear selection.

How much are you willing to spend is a bit more valid of a question too!

4in. you can get awaywith. I went with the 5 inch Trailmaster due to cost and the fact that i am not looking to make my Jeep inot a contorsionist.
37's , and hopefully soon the will have my darn gears done (6 days)!

Good luck!

N8!

i will spend what ever it takes as long as everything fits without cutting, bending or welding. this will be my wifes jeep. we would like to go with 38/15.5/18 claws, but im not sure i can get them to fit. so might have to stick with 36/15.5/18 claws. so what lift do i need.

5.5 inches, and maybe a body lit too, if you don't want to cut, bend or weld anything and fit 38's.
