Default Bilstein shock lengths

I'm looking to upgrade my BDS 2" budget boost. The shocks that came with it are horrible.

I would like to know the exact length of Bilsteins 2"- 3.5" shocks. Don’t want my springs popping out.

Thanks

I have searched for similar information and for some reason this information is not easy to find on the Bilstein USA website and the one in Germany has different part numbers.

However several shock retailers do publish it. For example:
w w.shockwarehouse.com/site/bilstein_5125.cfm

It is listed by part number, if you need to determine which part number you need that is available at:
w.bilsteinus.com/dl.php

Just select the Offroad catalog pdf file and go to the 5100 series products near the end.

Simple (NOT) & Effective

The Bilstein 5100's PN: BE5E670HO ( Front) and BE5E671HO (Rear) extend 3" more than the Stock Rubi shocks. They compress to the same collapsed length as the stockers also- so you could use them with no lift/ bumpstop.

As far as your springs... flex your jeep close to a jack and if they do pop out just get retainers from Teraflex

thanks. I have been searching and reading for a year now. ha, should have just asked.

I'm going to go ahead and try them. Need some break line extensions first. I have everything else.

Another questions, will the Teraflex rear track bar bracket (the ones that mount to the axle) work with only 2"? I have the BDS frame bracket but its hitting my shocks. I here this is odd. And i'm not adding 350 bucks worth of shocks then busting them.

I would use the bracket that mounts to the frame instead of the axle. Or better yet, just get an adjustable track bar and forget the bracket.

From what I have read the new axle mounted bracket by Teraflex took care of the breaking problem. The only reason I like the brackets a little more is they keep track bar as parallel the axle as I can.

If I do go with a new track bar who makes one for a 2" lift?

JKS makes a nice track bar but the bracket should work fine also.
