Default Black Grille Inserts - need opinons

For a silver rubicon, thinking of getting these black grille inserts from RR:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/13131_300.htm

And this from Rampage (in black):
http://www.quadratec.com/products/13131_500X_PG.htm

I haven't been able to find any photos where anyone is using a combo like this - do you think it would look good or is getting both too much?

Make your own for $20. Search the write-up thread for JK Grill Mod.

it is your jeep so do what you think looks best. i think they will look good but i would not spend that kind of money on the grill. look up grill mod and for 30 bucks or less you can put in your own screen sheild. as for the black outline inserts for 60 bucks that isn't a lot of money so go for it. i like em.

Heres one thread:

Take the $200 you'll save and put it into another mod.

I have an '07 silver Sahara and after losing my AC condensor to a rock decided to install the lath mesh from Home Depot like described above. Spent about $30 and four hours to fabricate and paint it black. It lasted about a month before it started looking ratty. The lath mesh dents in too easily and the paint chips off if anything hits it.

I took it out and bought the Mr. Grill black billet inserts from Quadratrec. They keep the rocks out and look great because the openings are black like stock. I especially liked the look of the Mr Grill because the inserts fit inside the openings and don't cover the paint on the outside surface. Only drawback $100 with shipping.

That price is pretty steep, but I'd go with something like the second one. I want to get something to protect my condensor. Its been taking a beating on road trips.
