Why can't you make these from the home depot? Looks like they would cost around $40

I was originally going to do that, works out to $60 with the swage tool and it looks half assed. JK's arn't inexpensive vehicles so why put crap on them. I pulled the trigger on these last week and got them in 3 days. Haven't installed them yet, but every detail is perfect especially the black cable with sealed hardware looks sick. Definitely worth the $ for the complete kit.

It's like comparing an AEV bumper to a less expensive bumper, all about quality...

Just my $0.02

I was kicking around doing it my self with home depot parts:
*2 Stainless Turnbuckles $11
*Coated Cable (10') $10
*Thimbles & Stops $7
*4 Stainless D Rings $12
*Misc Stainless Screws/bolts/nuts: $6
*Swage Crimp Tool $30 < I didn't have one
*Rivet Gun $20 < I didn't have one
*Total $96

Once I realized how much of a pain in the ass bending and cutting steel is, decided to just buy the complete kit because it was gonna cost at least $130 anyways.

Yea assuming you don't have the tools it doesn't really seem worthwhile... but you do wind up getting new tools that can be used for other jobs and a sense of satisfaction for creating them yourself.
