Default on board Air ?

what is a good versital product that is reasonably priced.

Need to air up my 35,s on rare occasions, and fill dirt bike tires.

Not sure if I should get a 12v air compresor or a battery pack for jump starting that comes with a compressor.

The ARB is great! Plus the Northridge special on them is sweet!

I"m interested in doing this too, but I want to find one that will run air tools too. Any suggestions?

Northridge offers a package you can't beat with a mounting bracket that puts the compressor right next to the brake master cylinder. It mounts an ARB compressor or any other compressor of your choice.

As for an air tank, JeepSWAG has a cool mount that goes between radiator and crankshaft or RiverRiader has an air tank skid / mounting location that goes right next to your evap.

I haven't heard many people run air tools with the ARB, but if you get a large enough tank, I am sure you can run air tools.

The ARB compressor can't run air tools. A tank may allow you some temp run time, but that's it.

The ARB takes forever to air up tires but it is 100% duty cycle.
I don't use the compressor for anything other than my ARBs.

I run an extreme air electric for one jeep and it can run air tools without an air tank + ARBs.

I run the larger ARB compressor for my ARB lockers and a Warn Powerplant to air up tires.

I have a Vair 450H air compressor mounted to the master cylinder with the Jeepswag mount. I only use it to air my tires.Usually you need a air tank to run air tools.

Thumbs up

I have the ARB set up... Now it won't run air tools basically. And there are other set ups that will fill up 35's faster too. But the ARB is the "gold standard" for reliability.
I have had an ARB on the girl friends offroad toy since 99' and that thing has been used countless hours airing tires including others and her 8.8 ARB as well.
That's why I still bought the ARB...

If you are more concerned about running tools, May I suggest a York compressor set up with a tank and you should be able to run tools for a long time.

Other good ideas posted here too.
